"I do not doubt my Emperor's wisdom in creating a necessary evil such as these fearful warriors, nor do I doubt their effectiveness in battle. It remains my fervent hope however, that though I spend my life making war for the liberation of Mankind that I never again see such inhuman butchery as I have witnessed in the halls of Cerberus."
- Bashar-Colonel Alves Scorn, on the XIIth Legion Astartes, in the aftermath of the Cerberus Insurrection.
[1]

Alves Scorn was an officer of the Imperial Army active in the early Great Crusade era.[1]

Biography

By the later stages of the Unification Wars and the start of the Great Crusade, Scorn was a Bashar-Colonel of the XXIInd Dracos Regiment.[1]

He and his forces fought alongside the XIIth Space Marine Legion (then known as the "War Hounds") against the Cerberus Insurrection. Scorn's account of the battle, recorded in his memoirs, was one of the few existing first-hand accounts of the War Hounds' early campaigns - including not just their tenaciousness, but their savagery.[1]

After leaving active service, Scorn went on to become the Imperial Commander of Proximal Secundus.[1]
